Context: When the entire world was on lockdown due to COVID during the summer quarantine of 2020, I decided to foster community by sending out 11 handwritten letters to 11 people from all over the world. Some of my letters went to Canada, Qatar, UK, Czech Republic, and Malta.

I calligraphed the letters, decorated the snail mail, and put together a short poetry video documenting the process, which I shared online to encourage my community to lean towards art in times of uncertainty. Inspired by Leena Norm’s video ‘Make Art for Your Friends’.
